*If God is for us, who can be against us?...who shall separate us from the love of Christ?...For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:31-39.

*Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5

*We can gather our thoughts, but the LORD gives the right answer. Proverbs 16:1

Meaning of Life

          Meaning of Life

*Everybody is looking for something. Many people feel empty, unfulfilled or lost. Most people seek meaning in life. Does your life have meaning? Do you have a personal relationship with God?

*God has shown us a different way in being right in his sight...we are made right in God's sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in the same way, no matter who we are or what we have done. For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard. Yet now God in his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus who has freed us...Romans 3:21-26

*When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time...God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God's judgment. For since we were restored to friendship with God by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be delivered from eternal punishment by His life. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God - all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us in making us friends of God.

Romans 5:6-11.

God cares for us! Luke 12:6-7

How to know God cares for you?

Have you ever wondered why God sent Jesus into the world? Why would God send His own son away from Himself, away from heaven, into this world-- to be born in Bethlehem in a barn? And to be killed on a cross 33 years later?

Love... Relationship... That's why. God didn't *need* a relationship with you-- He *wants* a relationship with you.

For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him" (John 3:16-17).

Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved (Acts 16:31).

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me (John 14:6).

Jesus loves you

1. God Loves You!

The Bible says, "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life"

The problem is that . . .

2. All of us have done, said or thought things that are wrong. This is called sin, and our sins have separated us from God.

The Bible says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” God is perfect and holy, and our sins separate us from God forever. The Bible says “The wages of sin is death.”

The good news is that, about 2,000 years ago,

3. God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.

Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. “God demonstrates His own love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”

Jesus rose from the dead and now He lives in heaven with God His Father. He offers us the gift of eternal life -- of living forever with Him in heaven if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me."

God reaches out in love to you and wants you to be His child. "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe on His name." You can choose to ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and come in to your life as your Lord and Savior.

4. If you want to accept Christ as Savior and turn from your sins, you can ask Him to be your Savior and Lord by praying a prayer like this:

"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always."

Did you pray this prayer?

Know that God Loves You and Has a Plan for Your Life

Know that God Loves You and Has a Plan for Your Life

God loves you and desires for your life to be fulfilled! He longs for you to be in a personal relationship with Him.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

God even sent His Son to the world that we might have everlasting life,

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" -John 3:16

Jesus Christ is the Only Way to a Relationship with God

Jesus died in our place on the cross. In other words, Jesus traded places with us. He took our sins and gave us his life as a substitution: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”

– Romans 5:8.

The Good News is that Jesus did not stay dead! Because Jesus never sinned himself, he did not deserve to die so he was raised from the dead: "Christ died for our sins... He was buried... He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures... He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred..."

-I Corinthians 15:3-6.

Jesus is the ONLY way to salvation and a renewed relationship with God. Jesus said, “I am the Way the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but through me”

– John 14:6.

How Can I pray to Be Saved?

If you want to ask Christ into your life, here is a simple prayer:

Dear Father in heaven,

I admit that I am not perfect and that I have sinned against you.

Please forgive me for my sins. I believe and accept that Jesus is the Son of God and that he suffered and died on the cross, paying the punishment for my sins.

Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and risen Savior.

I believe that I have the Spirit of Jesus living inside of me, that I am forgiven, and that I am now a Christian

I know that I have salvation and everlasting life and when I die, I will live eternally with Jesus.

We are Imperfect and

Separated from God.

Unfortunately, we sin against God. A sin is anything that we do which against the will of God. The result of our sin is that we are separated from God who has no part of sin.

Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” The result of our sin is death

– Romans 6:23.

Receiving Jesus as Your Personal Savior

When we ask Jesus into our lives, we become the children of God!

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" – John 1:12.

Jesus wants to be a part of our life and even makes the effort to come to us!

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him" (Revelation 3:20).

We have salvation by believing in Jesus and not by what we do:

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast" -Ephesians 2:8-9.

What We Believe

Posted by Abigail Nigussu on April 14, 2010 at 9:33 AM Comments comments (0)

What We Believe?

1. The Holy Bible is the infallible Word of God (Old and New Testament).

2. In one God eternally existing in three persons: namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That he ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.

3. That all have sinned and come short of

the glory of God and that repentance is

commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.

4. That justification, regeneration, and new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

5. In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Spirit.

6. God's people are expected to live a holy life.

7. In baptism with the Holy Spirit subsequent to salvation with a clean and hungry heart.

8. In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

9. In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

10. That through walking in holiness and faith physical healing is easily attainable through the blood of Jesus Christ.

11. In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on earth a thousand years.

12. In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous and eternal punishment for the wicked.

Love and Forgiveness

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Colossians 3:13

Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

1 Corinthians 13:13

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Faith

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

John 14:12-14

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Prosperity

Matthew 6:33

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Miracles

Mark 16:17-18

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Matthew 10:8

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Holiness

1 Peter 1:13-16

Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."

Matthew 5:48

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Evangelism

Mark 16:15

And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."

John 4:35

Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

Luke 14:23

Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

Isaiah 45:3

I will give you the treasures of darkness

And hidden riches of secret places,

That you may know that I, the LORD,

Who call you by your name,

Am the God of Israel.

End Times Teaching

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Worship

Psalm 105:2-3

Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
